Why Naturopathy?

Difficult to pronounce and for many to understand, Naturopathy, one of the earliest forms of medicine, embraces a wide range of natural aprroaches to wellness.
At its core is the belief system that the body heals itself, given the right tools.

Dis-ease comes from an underlying imbalance, which can be caused through birth and preconceptual stress, emotional and physical trauma, infection, environmental toxicity, stress, poor nutrition, functional or structural lesion, the use of medicinal or recreational drugs or deficiency. It may be the result of gene expression - when many of these factors are at play, underlying genetic conditions can more easily present themselves.

How does it work?

Naturopathy embraces three key areas: mind, body and spiritual balance. Balance may be restored through the use of herbs, nutrition, homeopathy, bodywork (Bowen Therapy, Shiatsu, massage, breathwork, osteopathy, cranial sacral therapy or lymphatic drainage and general body adjustment) or though hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, or counselling.

The key to its treatment relies on the participation of a team of holistic practitioners treating the underlying causes of imbalance or dysfunction in a natural and non-invasive way, based on the principles of the Hippocratic oath: 'First do no Harm'.
